Promo 1: Mike Tenay and Bobby Heenan host this week of WCW Nitro. Tenay: Welcome to another blockbuster night here in WCW. Heenan: It looks like Tony Sciavone won’t be with us for another night here on Nitro. Tenay: Wonder what’s that about, but tonight we will have Hollywood Hogan team up with The Outsiders to take on Konnan, British Bulldog, and Curt Hennig.Heenan: The #1 Contender for the World title Bill Goldberg will be here tonight to explain his actions from last week of what he did to the World Champ Sting.
Match 1- (C) Trish Stratus (Face) vs. Lita (Heel). No Contest due to the interference from Victoria.
Post Match: Victoria grabs a microphone. Victoria: I’m demanding a rematch for the Women’s Championship and I want it to be at Souled Out which will be a week from this Sunday.
Promo 2: Gene Okerlund interviews Eddie Guerrero. Okerlund: Last week your opponent for Souled Out who is Rey Mysterio said that you want to treat him with disrespect. Eddie: Listen, I could do what I want to Rey. Eddie: I’m tired of explaining why I’m attacking him all of sudden and to answer the question again, its simply because I want to. Eddie: I’m shocked that Rey actually accepted my challenge for a match at the upcoming pay-per-view. Eddie: If you think I need to be scared of your lousy 619 move, your mistaken for the wrong person. Okerlund: Thanks for the comments Eddie.
Match 2- Legion of Doom (Faces) vs. The Blue Bloods (Heels). Winners = Legion of Doom after the Doomsday Device. (9:23). Post Match: Animal: Hawk and I will retain our WCW Tag Team Championship against the Blue Bloods at Souled Out.
Match 3- (C) Ultimo Dragon (Face) vs. Gregory Helms (Heel). Cruiserweight Title. Winner = Ultimo Dragon with the Dragon Sleeper Hold. (7:07).
Promo 3- Harlem Heat walk into Eric Bischoff’s office complaining about not getting to face their Souled Out opponents The Outsiders tonight. Booker T: Why aren’t we booked for a match tonight!?!? Eric: I didn’t want you guys tearing apart The Outsiders. Stevie Ray: Your apart of Konnan’s Army and the nWo are the enemy so why don’t you want us to tear them apart? Eric: Because I’m the General Manager and I control the show. Eric: If you two don’t mind, I want you to exit my office. Booker T: We’re not going to leave until we get to fight The Outsiders for injuring my brother Stevie Ray last year. Ray: I faced Hall last week, but he along with Nash decided to run away so I want my revenge. Eric: I understand both of you want to hurt them, but just wait for Souled Out and as a matter of fact, I want you Booker T to take on nWo member Randy Savage up next. Booker: I have no problem with that.
Match 4- Randy Savage (Heel) w/Buff Bagwell vs. Booker T (Face) w/Stevie Ray. Winner = Booker T after the Book End. (10:00).
Match 5- Ric Flair and Arn Anderson (Heels) w/Debra, James J.Dillon, and David Flair vs. Harley Race and The Giant (Faces) w/Jimmy Hart. Winners = Ric Flair and Arn Anderson after Flair made Harley Race tap out to the Figure Four Leg-Lock. (12:44).
Post Match: Flair: This is my second week in a row making Harley Race submit. Flair: At Souled Out, I’m going to challenge Harley to a Submission Match.
Promo 4- Lex Luger (wearing an eye-patch due to the nWo Sting smashing his face into a car window three weeks ago) is sitting in his home. Luger: At Souled Out, I will be taking on the nWo Sting in a Parking Lot Brawl in which I will not only defeat him, but smash his face through a car window for payback. The nWo Sting breaks into Luger’s home and attacks Luger. nWo Sting: I hope you can make it to Souled Out a week from this Sunday. Luger is left defenselessy on the ground.
Match 6- (C) Ultimate Warrior (Face) vs. Local Competitor (Heel). Winner = Warrior after the Double Powerbomb. (0:22). United States title.
Match 7- Konnan, British Bulldog, and Curt Hennig (Faces) vs. Hollywood Hogan and Outsiders (Heels). Winners = Hogan and Outsiders after Nash hit the Jacknife to Hennig. (11:15).
Post Match: The rest of Konnan’s Army (Rick Rude, Vincent, Syxx, and Scott Steiner) run down the ramp to attack Hogan and Outsiders, but they flee away quickly.
Promo 5: Gene Okerlund interviews Goldberg. Okerlund: Why in the world did you assault Sting with a steel pipe to his left leg and attempt to break his neck using your foot? Goldberg: Why? Gene: Yeah Why! Goldberg: Because I said that I was going to take Sting out piece by piece which means me weakening him so he performs 50% for Souled Out. Goldberg: I will defeat Sting to take that World title away from him. Gene: Why don’t you just make it a fair contest!?!? Goldberg: Its because I want to win and having him 100% will decrease my chances to win! The lights flicker on and off and Sting is right behind Goldberg with a baseball bat.
